My artistic practice explores transformation and the dissolution of boundaries between life forms. Guided by the fluid movement of water, I use flow as both metaphor and method. My paintings embrace the organic behavior of materials, while my sculptures evolve beyond fixed forms, blurring distinctions between plant, animal, and human—between liquid and solid.
Working across figurative and abstract styles, I fuse science, spirituality, and art. Influenced by esoteric philosophies like Kundalini yoga, my work investigates altered states of consciousness. My abstract drawings—made with pen, ink, and colored pencil on mylar—resemble imagined scientific illustrations, merging biological forms to explore evolution and the possibility of extraterrestrial life. I'm especially drawn to the sublime, delving into the unconscious, bodily processes, and early conditioning that shape perception.
Visually, my work reflects the intricate detail of Ernst Haeckel and the fairy-tale imagery of my Eastern European roots. My figurative watercolors use delicate layering to evoke ethereal presences, while my sculptures draw from Baroque and Art Nouveau ornamentation, using decoration as a symbol of femininity. Across media, I explore hybridity—fusing traditionally distinct life forms into new, fluid identities.
